The Start,Â
Owner Sid DeLeo started the business in a 1300 square-foot facility at 1021 South Broadway, New Ulm, MN. Likewise, Jan, his wife, did bookkeeping and in 1990 became more involved with the sign business. Since then, their son, Chris, came on board in 1997 to assist the business as a graphic designer/assistant manager. Hence, the family increased their single graphics computer to three and added a digital full-color printer.
Today,Â
Certainly as the business grew so did the need for space. In fact, his was taken care of in 2002 when Sid, Jan, and Chris built a 4500 square-foot facility at the current location, 700 North Broadway in New Ulm. Similarly, productivity at Sid’s Signs On Broadway has enlarged to include everything from posters to large electronic signs. So, the new facility has a bay for lettering all types of vehicles, as well as a large showroom display for our customers – and do not forget the four boom trucks!
